When the cold winter months arrive, my focus naturally moves to eating food that is warming, filling and easy to do. Even in Winter we have a grand selection of seasonal vegetables that are great to include in wonderful soups, stews and casseroles. more>
Chives are well known herb but not often used and I feel this is a great shame. Some people have never thought of chives as anything other than a baked potato topping, which is too bad because the flavor of the chives shows up more when they're used in cooked dishes. more>

I love one-pot or slower cooker cooking in Autumn and Winter as many of you know. For me there is nothing more comforting than tucking into a hearty stew or casserole. I cook them in either my cast iron (Dutch oven) or in my slow cooker. more>
